Former Farm Yields a Bucolic Lifestyle

Heritage is a residential community with a pedigree unlike any other. What was once the Marshall-Stroud Dairy Farm is now a golfer's paradise. With its Heritage Golf Club spread out over 200 acres of beautiful, rolling hills, each hole is designed to protect and enhance the most spectacular views in the area.

You can walk out your front door and play a round of golf at the semi-private Heritage Golf Club or relax in its 15,000-square-foot Clubhouse which overlooks the 18th fairway and Heritage Lake. (The clubhouse's restaurant is open to the public with banquet and meeting facilities available.)

Clubhouse

Architect Bob Moore of JMP Golf Design Group, which designed the 18-hole, semi-private layout, calls Heritage "…one of the most naturally beautiful and receptive sites for golf on which our firm has had the pleasure to work.."

The par-72, 6,929-yard course features more than 100 strategically placed pot bunkers, three holes that play along winding creeks, and six holes where natural lakes come into play. The challenging, yet player-friendly "American Links," features four sets of tees and is an enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels of ability.

Swim Club

But it's not just the amenities, which are conveniently located within the community, that make Heritage Wake Forest one of the most desirable communities in the area.

"Heritage has captured the community atmosphere that has been lost by most," say residents Brian and Sheila Veeder. "This nostalgic neighborhood will create the same memories we grew up with as children, for our children. Heritage is the place we love to call home."

Heritage Meadows
Heritage Meadows: single family homes from the $200,000s.

The careful evolution of this quaint community, and former dairy farm, isn't a coincidence.

"At Heritage Wake Forest, we are proud of what we have created, and feel that we have established a community that helps shape the future of its surroundings," says developer Andy Ammons, president of Ammons Development Group.

Having grown up in the area, Andy's main goal was to create a flagship community that honors the history of Wake Forest, while raising the bar of future developments in the area. All the extra effort was rewarded as Heritage Wake Forest and Ammons Development Group was chosen Triangle Sales and Marketing Council of North Carolina of the Home Builders Association's 2001 Developer of the Year.

Many Distinctive Neighborhoods, One Community
In keeping with simple southern hospitality, Heritage Wake Forest offers a wide array of homes, neighborhoods and amenities. Custom homes are priced from the mid-$100,000s to more than $1 million, providing an opportunity to own for everyone.

Maintenance-free town homes and patio homes are available from the $160,000s. An age-restricted neighborhood of attached single-family homes for those 55 and over is priced from the low-$200,000s. Luxury attached single-family homes with water and fairway views are available from the $300,000s.

Numerous choices of custom, single-family homes are priced from the $200,000s. The common thread through all these choices? Charming, traditionally styled homes and neighborhoods, carefully planned by the developer and custom builder group.

The developer’s goal is to mirror the warmth and charm of Wake Forest and you’ll find all the elements here that achieve exactly that—stone walls weave throughout the community, alongside tree-lined streets, sidewalks, subtle signage, traditional yard lanterns and customized street and mailbox posts.
